As an industry leader since 1954, Thompson & Johnson Equipment Co., Inc. has been providing material handling equipment and compact construction equipment solutions to a wide array of customers.
We are seeking a technically skilled, positive, and motivated person in the Hudson Valley Region to assist our customers at their locations and in our shop. Our newest team member will be required to travel from customer to customer to diagnose and perform repair and planned maintenance work on material handling and/or compact construction and related equipment ensuring service meets all customer, quality, and industry standards and requirements.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION STANDARDS
High school diploma or GED required and three to five years of forklift technician experience and or training; or an equivalent combination.
Current forklift operator certification required.
Must have at the time of hire, and maintain throughout employment, a valid NYS drivers license free of major infractions with the capability of towing up to 10,000 lbs.
Must be able to work beyond normal or scheduled works hours on an as needed basis. Must be available to be on-call before/after normal business hours.
Must supply your own working set of professional grade tools.
Knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
Ability to read a map, understand directions, and follow standard operating procedures.
